DataGrip: How to connect to Oracle as SYSDBA

In Oracle SQL Developer Tool we add user name as

sys

But we have a Role Dropdown to select SYSDBA

But when we try to added Oracle DB as data source in DataGrip you won’t find role dropdown and username “sys” will give you following error

ORA-28009 Error Dialog

To fix ORA-28009 error you need to change your username to following

sys as sysdba
